Tumblr

http://evolutionproductions.tumblr.com/ We created a Tumblr account as this is a great way to share across the web our ideas and shots. This way more audience is attracted in to see whether they would be keen or not as within Tumblr different categories can be chosen one being movies.

Setting set tasks for everyone

Leading on from working well together, we then went on to creating an A4 sheet with 11 things each person needed to do. This went from research to tweaking and adjusting the film itself (costumes, props etc...). Everyone had a copy of the sheet and it was colour coded so each person knew their tasks and everybody else's in the groups tasks. (Picture to be added)

Working Together

At times we found it difficult working together, as we discovered at an early stage. When deciding what film idea we wanted or even what genre we had a lot of disagreements and of course we wanted to create an opening sequence that everyone would be passionate about and willing to work on! So we decided to get a sheet of A3 and each write our 5 favourite films on then join them together in the centre from this we had 3 ideas: A mods and rockers film such like Quadraphenia; A fantasy such as Alice in Wonderland and Twilight and finally a thriller/ action such as Taken. We then looked at the pros and cons for each and worked out that mise en scene needed to create a 60's or fantasy film was not within our budget so we decided on the thriller. People weren't sure at first but it soon came together and when it came to filming people were able to put their hearts into creating the opening sequence! From there on work load was shared to an extent evenly and our group meshed together well.

Changing the look of the Blog

We began with a photo taken from one found on a website allowing copyright use of a dingy bedroom. This was dirty and blood stained and very unkind to the eye. We originally went with this as it showed the isolation of the female protagonist. However, it did not reflect how her way of life was as she was doing reasonably well for herself. We then changed to a look of broken glass to show how the female had been shattered and cracked by her kidnappers. This worked well and was kept for a while as each member of the group liked it and believed it best suited the characters emotions and those of the audience. Finally, we changed to the background that stands, this is because we thought that after filming and editing the look of the darkness of 3 black figures scared the audience more which was more the genre we were heading for in our thriller. I have placed the photos below to give an idea of each step we went through...
